Carina Benson
Simply put, there is no one with whom we’d trust our family more than Carina. She knows exactly what seeds to help you plant, and has the patience and ingenuity to teach you how to tend to what grows. Her previous experience as a family physician has led her to understand the deep and intricate connection between the mind, body, and spirit, and she is passionate about helping her couples build and nurture a resilient family system to support their growth. Carina has seen couples at all stages and through all walks of life, and knows the key to health is through healthy relationships and families. We believe that Carina’s secret technique, the one that really encourages her clients to see change, is her ability to help them tap into a deep wellspring of faith that they can make things better if they are willing to put in the hard work.
Carina particularly loves working with struggling children and adolescents. She is also passionate about helping couples who are on their parenting journeys, as well as couples in which one or both partners is in a healthcare career, as she understands the unique difficulties in these relationships.
Carina is a postgraduate Certified Couples Therapy Fellow practicing under the clinical supervision of Gregg Schacher, LMFT. (What is clinical supervision?)
